Monowar Hasan (http://web.engr.illinois.edu/~mhasan11/) is currently working toward his Ph.D. in the Department of Compute Science at the University of Illinois (UIUC). He received M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, in 2015 and B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, in 2012.

Monowar has won several awards including the C.L. and Jane W.-S. Liu Award, Feng Chen Memorial Award, Best Student Paper and Outstanding Paper Award at the 2016 IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS), University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship, Professor Dr. Ahmad Ullahand ChemanaraAhmed UllahTrust Fund Scholarship. His current research interests include Internet-of-Things security, real-time scheduling, and resource allocation in 5G cellular networks. In his current work, he and his research group are developing solutions for the security issues in real-time cyber-physical systems and Internet-of-Things. He served as a reviewer for several major IEEE journals and conferences.
